I have been an artist for my whole life. As a child I would spend hours in my room sketching and listening to John Denver records.

I know, the above statement totally dates me.

But, like with the rest of life, you can’t just sit in your bedroom and draw pictures of Bob Dylan and Jackson Brown. So I came into adulthood holding a paint brush.

I started painting weird or usual characters that I would make up from life experiences and people I met. I still do this and I am good at it (Not rich good, just artist good) . I am currently handled through 3 galleries in the US.

Then one day I spotted the online handmade store, Etsy. I saw a bunch of fantastic artist selling prints of their work.  And I thought, “I can do that”. So I bought a fine art printer and got to work. And, the prints actually sold. Yeah!

Also at this time I started my blog.  My blog is filled with  art, crafts and funny stories about my life.  I create illustrations for many of my blog entries.

Creating my art prints and blog illustrations helped me developed skills that I would need for my next career choice, children’s book illustrator.
